Beautiful and cohesive homes, inside and out.
From the Port Hills to Castle Hill, Christchurch to Charteris Bay, we work anywhere our clients’ projects take us.
Steep hills, tricky sites, flat sections—we’ve done it all. Versatility is our hallmark and we are happy working to any style, scope or scale our clients prefer.
As any Lytteltonite knows, light is the ultimate challenge. For this build, we incorporated extensive glazing to achieve a bright, airy home.
This unique hill build was a highly personal expression of the client’s industrial style. Seeking to build his dream on an extremely steep site with the lightest possible touch to the earth, our challenge was set.
What began as alterations to an existing bach morphed into a complete rebuild after we discovered a significant underrunner (sink hole) under the house.
Nestled into its rural surroundings, this chalet is modest in size but mighty in ambition. The intent was to create a bach that had intimate spaces yet could serve multiple families across multiple generations.
The developer behind this project in Castle Hill sought to maximise his results while using the smallest amount of materials possible.
Our client wanted hands-on ownership of this project, which we facilitated with the architect. We selected chosen sub-trades, as well as unusual materials to build a home that allowed the client’s children to move into their lives as they transitioned into adult hood.
