Our client wanted hands-on ownership of this project, which we facilitated with the architect. We selected chosen sub-trades, as well as unusual materials to build a home that allowed the client’s children to move into their lives as they transitioned into adult hood.
The architect and I met with the client when the site was just a paddock. We discussed how this project could come together and how the client saw the vision of the house as it sat on the land. The client expressed their desire to have the house seem like it was floating on the landscape, this foundation methodology formed a pivotal part of the brief.
Our clients took on a lot of the finish timber works that really drive the feeling throughout the house.
