Nestled into its rural surroundings, this chalet is modest in size but mighty in ambition. The intent was to create a bach that had intimate spaces yet could serve multiple families across multiple generations.
An authentic back country feel
We collaborated with Brita Corbett Architects to develop a design that modernised the standard A-frame chalet, using stylistic finishes to give it an authentic back country feel.
Natural products
The use of natural products such as western red cedar and plywood linings are in step with bach’s rugged surroundings, while being robust enough to withstand harsh conditions with minimal ongoing maintenance.
